Who Is Yoriichi Demon Slayer

Yoriichi Tsugikuni is one of the main characters of the Demon Slayer manga. He’s also a central supporting character in Demon Slayer- Kimestu no Yaiba. During the Sengoku era, he was a legendary demon Slayer of demon slayer. He is the younger twin brother of Michikatsu Tsugikuni, who later became a demon and joined the 12th demonic moons.

What do you need to know about Yoriichi Tsugikuni?

Yoriichi and his younger brother were born in the middle of the Sengoku Period in the Tsugikini clan. The time was Once Upon considered a bad omen. Especially Yoriichi was born with a strange birthmark on the forehead. After seeing the birthmark, people said that the father would kill him. Eventually, the family agreed that Yoriichi would be sent to become among them when he was ten years old.

After his mother’s death, the young boy didn’t stop and ran away from the house. After running for a day with no exhaustion signs in the mountains, Yoruichi came across a young girl about the same age as himself. The young girl, Uta, was from an orphanage. She chose to live with Yoriiche, and after ten years, they got married. The first one got pregnant later.

He left the house to call a midwife just before the arrival, promising her he would return before sunset. Along the way, he helped an older man and wasted a lot of time, so he went home and called the midwife the other day. But unfortunately, he found that some demon had killed his wife and the unborn child when the sun had already set, and he reached home.

He held her corpse in his arms for ten days because the tragedy shocked him exceedingly. He buried them after a demon slayer made him understand to do so. The incident led to Yoriichi taking back the blade and training as a Demon slayer.

After a few days, Yoriichi encountered a demon and mortal enemy of the slayers, Muzaan Kibutsuji, and decided to kill him. Yoruichi understood that the monster had five brains and seven hearts that changed position in the body. So he combined all the forms into one attack, seeing his luck cutting them all off and overpowering Muzan completely. Muzan eventually escaped but ended up being wholly traumatized and afraid of Yoruichi.

He will become the strongest of the demon slayers as he passes his skills to Sumiyoshi. Tanjiro Kamado’s ancestor died during a fight with the demonic brother when he was over 80 years old.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the Strongest Demon Slayer

Based on the facts, Yoriichi Tsugikuni was indeed one of the best and most potent demon slayers in history. He was so powerful that he killed Muzan almost with ease and was also responsible for the development of all breathing styles. He was born with a mark of the demon Slayer, which is the transparent world and the selfless state.

Their God-like physique and intimate talent for swordsmanship help him stand out in the crowd. Being the only demon Slayer, he was able to corner Muzan quickly. Even though he escaped death, the encounter deeply scarred him.

Muzan called Yoriichi Tsugikuni the new monster. Even though the sight of his earrings made him feel terrible with terror, the main memory of the battle made the bodies of other demons tremble like never before.

At the age of around 85, shortly before his death, his older twin brother Kokushiba. Kokushiba also turned into a demon. He quickly gained the upper hand in the fight despite his advanced age and apparent blindness, slitting the throat in a single motion. If Yoriichi had struck a second blow before dying, Kokushibo would have killed him.

Is Yoriichi Tanjiro’s Dad

No, Tanjiro is not Yoriichi’s son. They are not related to each other, as they are the only close acquaintances of Yoriichi, and someone passed his powers onto Tanjiro. Hence, there is no relation in any way. Tanjiro shares some similarities with Yoriichi. Even though there was no relation, nor did they know each other, the close resident of Tanjiro, Sumiyoshi, was also an intimate acquaintance of Yoriichi, but there was no relation.

Brief About the Voice Actor Behind Yoriichi

Even though earlier he appeared as a voice bless flashback, in season 2 of the Demon Slayer anime, Yoriichi has a voice. Kazuhiko Inoue voiced him. Since Inoue’s debut in 1973, he has become the voice of some of the most recognized actors in Japan.

Some of the characters’ early works include Anthony in Candy in 1970 and Joe in 1979. In 1980, Inoue worked for an adult-oriented series. Recently, the voice artist is known for the international roles of Kakashi Hatake in Naruto and Klarth F. Lester in Tales of Phantasia. Inoue’s excellent vocal performance is described as laid-back and natural.

He can portray different facilities due to his broad and versatile vocal range. Inoue is known for notable roles as the eccentric Naggissa Sawa in Haru Daiteita. Besides voicing anime, he also shares his voice for video games, Japanese language film dubs, drama series, and audiobooks.
